At Rest
In the relentless pursuit of success and material gain, rest and play — an essential part of life — are cast aside, sacrificed on the nameless altar of work.
With At Rest, I capture fleeting interludes of repose, transitory spaces in the workday, to reveal the importance of rest and how we seek refuge from the unrelenting pressures of life.
Claude Debussy once said that “music is the space between the notes.” Perhaps life happens when we seek refuge from striving. I invite the viewer to contemplate the significance of work, rest and what it means to live a life without regrets.
